Greystone has added some new draft beers on tap for the new season!
There is no better way to celebrate San Diego’s craft beer excellence than by adding all of the new local favorites!

Here is San Deigo, there are more than 100 breweries, microbreweries, and brewpubs. Having been called “the Craft Beer Capital of America”, we couldn’t have gone any other way! Greystone is very proud of being a local, privately owned distinguished Steakhouse and we support all of our local businesses, sourcing from our local farms and distributors.

Our new fall-hued line-up features the hazy yellow Saint Archer White Ale, a pale gold Ballast Point Pale Ale, the deep gold gluten-reduced Stone Delicious IPA, an orange gold Lost Abbey Red Barn Saison Ale, the amber colored Coronado Brewing Company’s Mermaid Red Ale and the hazy rust-orange Mission Shipwrecked Double IPA.

(As per customer request, we kept the pale straw colored North Coast Scrimshaw Pilsner and the deep ebony Anderson Valley Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout, which are not local San Diego brews but still native of our beautiful Golden State.)

Come try one of our fall inspired beer flights and pick your favorite flavor for the season!

Fall for Beers – Tasting Notes:

North Coast Scrimshaw Pilsner – Fort Bragg/CA

Scrimshaw is a fresh tasting Pilsner brewed in the finest European tradition using Munich malt and Hallertauer and Tettnang hops. It has a pale straw color with a subtle hop character, a crisp, clean palate and a dry finish. 4.7% ABV

Saint Archer White Ale – San Diego/CA

Brewed with high quality Pilsner and Wheat malts, generously spiced with coriander and fresh orange peel. Belgian yeast provides the traditional refreshingly tart, spicy, and fruity flavor profile. Wheat protein and yeast gives a customary hazy appearance and contributes to the flavor and mouth feel. 5.0% ABV

Ballast Point Pale Ale – San Diego/CA

This Pale Ale is a rich golden brew, crafted with aromatic German hops and rounded out with a blend of American and Munich malts. While it’s hopped like a lager, it’s fermented like an ale to create a smooth, bright taste that has just a hint of fruit and spice. 5.2% ABV

Coronado Brewing Company Mermaid’s Red Amber Ale – San Diego/CA

Loaded with Cascade hops, this Red Ale delivers a fresh floral aroma and sharp bitter notes, all while delivering a solid kick of roasted malts that fades seamlessly into a rich, chocolaty finish with hints of clove and caramel. 5.7% ABV

Anderson Valley Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout – Boonville/CA

The deep ebony color, voluptuous mahogany head and bold, roasty flavors in this Oatmeal Stout are what serious beer drinkers expect from this style. Aromas of freshly baked bread, espresso, and dried cherries meld seamlessly with rich toffee flavors and a creamy mouth feel. 5.8% ABV

Lost Abbey Red Barn Saison Ale – San Diego/CA

One of the most aromatic beers on tap. The nose of the beer is overwhelmingly spicy and fruity from the spice additions (organic ginger, orange peels, black pepper and grains of paradise), partnered with the phenols from the Saison yeast used in this brew. The first sip begins with a sweet malt expression that is immediately overtaken by the yeast flavors and peppery spices employed. As the beer fades, a slight tartness pervades and develops in a slightly acidic finish making the beer that much more refreshing. 6.7% ABV

Stone Delicious IPA – San Diego/CA

Pleasantly bitter, deliciously citrusy, hop-driven IPA, crafted with Lemondrop and El Dorado hops. Pours deep gold with a white-colored head. Spicy, herbal, and citrusy hop aromatics with light-toasted malt. The spiciness is reminiscent of lemongrass. Medium body with a bitter, dry finish. 7.7% ABV

Mission Shipwrecked Double IPA – San Diego/CA

With intense hop character from the use of Cascade, CTZ and Centennial hops, this Double IPA is like no other. It drinks like an IPA but has the backbone of a double. Distinct, with depth and malt character perhaps not found in many other Double IPA’s, it hits the spot. 9.25% ABV
