I love downtown San Diego. The vibe is happy and fun in this part of the city, and it’s a great California vacation spot for people of all ages.

I especially like the Gaslamp Quarter because it has so many great steakhouses – not that it doesn’t also have terrific sushi restaurants and other dining options, but the happy, festive atmosphere in San Diego’s top steakhouses really sets it apart.

Gushing Over Greystone

Greystone has stolen my heart and become the best steakhouse I’ve ever had the pleasure of dining at. Yes, that is quite a bold statement I know, but the high touch service, menu selection, ambiance, and damn good food allow for me to say so. As a man who enjoys his whiskey I opted for an Old Fashionioned to start the evening off. Out comes this beautiful closed crystal glass with Maker’s 46 smoked inside and glass with the most perfectly cubed ice. As the Maker’s hit the ice you can begin to smell it really open up and the first sip was magnificent. The chef orchestrated the most delectable of plates from appetizers all the way to the main course.

I was on the hunt for some proper cusine when Greystone’s menu jumped out at me on a google search. And in the mood to relax and not necessarily engage in a formal dress code establishment where it seems too fancy to be joyful. You couldn’t ask for better fine dining customer service.
